LEAD Program - Manufacturing Engineer

At GO Transit, we typically hire external candidates as CSAs (Customer Service Ambassadors) when recruiting for front-line positions. We look for CSAs who possess the aptitude and abilities to advance to the next level as a conductor. In order to assess this ability, all our CSA candidates take a personality and aptitude test prior to hiring.
After working as a CSA, and pending successful performance, Conductor is the next level of potential progression and promotion. Subsequently, following that progression, Locomotive Engineer can be the direction for interested and capable candidates. We value the contribution made by our employees and are committed to invest time and effort in their career development. We encourage employees to establish their goals and actively invest in professional development opportunities that align with the individual and company’s interests. I hope that this information is useful in providing you with insight into the career path for becoming a locomotive engineer for GO Transit in Ontario, Canada.
