Engineering Domain/Metier Group Manager
We have employee resource groups (ERG) to promote diversity and equity which include Alstom Women of Excellence (AWE), Alstom Black Leaders & Employees (ABLE), and Alstom True Colors (ATC - our LGBTQIA+ ERG).
I can speak from experience involving AWE as I launched the local Pittsburgh Chapter. The leadership here has been very supportive of the initiative.
In addition to employee resource groups, we have a mentorship program that's available to everyone and another that's for women in leadership specifically. I myself am a female manager and participated in a leadership program for new managers.
Alstom has a portal called MyGalaxy. MyGalaxy provides Alstom employees with a clear global picture of positions in their “galaxy”. Use it to learn about the various jobs in a specific function (and the skills they demand). Thanks to MyGalaxy, you will be able to preview and build your future career steps as well as your global journey at Alstom. In conjunction with this tool, Alstom also has MyCareerPath that takes your profile and skills and connects you to relevant roles.

Alstom has a strong commitment to diversity. The compagny set a goal to reach 30% of women in 2030. The Women@ Alstom committee has been set up to support this objective. It brings together people of all kinds who support the cause. This program supports the advancement of women within the company through mentoring, networking and training opportunities. It also provides a community for women to connect and share experiences.
