What do you enjoy most about your role?

For my role of being a part of the Alstom Leadership Excellence and Development (LEAD) Program I would say my top three things I enjoy are: additional time for career exploration, interacting with higher level managers and knowing that whatever projects I’ve collaborated on will be get implemented, lastly and more specifically my role of being a Supply Chain Planner (my first rotation).

The LEAD program allows me the opportunity to take two additional years, 4 rotations, for career exploration throughout the worldwide company of Alstom. I’m getting the opportunity to be financially stable while at the same time exploring the many facets of the company.

As I have everyday interactions with higher level managers, I’m privileged to see them in their professional capacities. While learning from them, when given a project or task I know that it will benefit the business.

As a supply chain planner, I enjoy being the eyes in the sky, and interacting with all departments (warehouse, customer service and technician managers etc.). In doing this I get to see and hear situations from all perspectives.

All my interactions cause me to feel valued and create a sense of fulfillment and accomplishment. As an engineering graduate it has been a unique opportunity to be involved in the LEAD program.
